COVID-19 and its effects

Corona has completely changed the dynamics of our lifestyle. Either the first world countries or third world countries, everyone needs to re-draft from the scratch of our economies, health and safety, food and hygiene, education, employment and of course a whole new approach to living.

There are countries which have immediately acted upon on the pandemic to reduce the transmission and there are countries which couldn’t do that. But it’s never too late to bring the virus under control even if there is an explosive transmission.

We have rolled out a comprehensive strategy and are focused on suppressing transmission and saving lives. People are strongly advised to follow basic public health principles of physical distancing, hand washing, wearing masks, coughing etiquette and staying at home. With strong will to fight against and adhering to general hygiene and safety we can surely win this war against Corona.

We are taking all the necessary actions for people who are affected and tested positive. Essential amenities are being provided for people who are home quarantined. All our effort is to have a sustainable situation without shutting down our lives having huge detrimental impact on society.

There might be no return to the “old normal” for the foreseeable future. But there is a roadmap to a situation where we can control the disease and get on with our lives.

But this is going to require three things:

First, a focus on reducing mortality and suppressing transmission.

Second, an empowered, engaged community that takes individual behavior measures. Third, we need strong leadership and coordination of comprehensive strategies

I request all the people of Anantapur to follow the instructions given by the authorities to put an end to this dreadful situation.
